Introduction
White Hall developer and businessman Umesh Patel opened his first Subway restaurant in Dumas, Arkansas, in 1999, just shortly after immigrating to the United States from India. Over the last 20 years, Patel and his family have invested throughout the state but have recently been focused on his adopted hometown of White Hall, where he opened a Dairy Queen in 2015, a Colton’s Steak House in 2020, as well as multiple hotels in the area including a Holiday Inn, a Comfort Inn, and most recently the new TownePlace Suites Marriott, a four-story, 80-room hotel, which broke ground in April 2021 and opened its doors the summer of 2022.
Since 2015, Umesh Patel has worked with Stone Bank to make his investment in White Hall a reality. As a lender of commercial loans, Stone Bank offers small businesses and investors in rural areas the lending options to develop and grow their businesses.
Testimonial
Working with Stone Bank’s Senior Agricultural Loan Officer Vince Stone, Umesh Patel and his family have successfully developed businesses across White Hall and have helped with the westward expansion of the city, where Patel’s TownePlace Suites Marriott and the family’s Dairy Queen are located.
“Stone Bank makes working with them easy,” said Patel. “They are great with communications for our business. Stone Bank is available 24/7, which is extremely nice considering our business stays open and running 24/7. They help us and that is exactly what we look for with a partner. Stone Bank offers better interest rates and closing fees, which motivates us to stay with them. It feels like home.”
